2Macs Support News and Updates:
(Sunday, May 14th, 2006) DOS Attack
Beginning at approximately 8:00 EST on Saturday, May 13, 2006, 2Macs
was attached with an extremely large scale Denial Of Service attack. We
worked through the night to identify and stop the attack, resolving it at
6:15 AM EST this morning. The magnitude of the attack was larger than
we've experienced and overwhelmed our systems. We will be posting more
information later today. We apologize for the inconvenience and will be
pursuing the matter to the full extent of the law as we sift through the
details.
We also apologize for the generic nature of this email, all our support
staff are currently helping clean up or helped deal with the attack as it
happened.
